X5 Retail says files bid to buy 100 stores of Bashkortostan chain
MOSCOW, Jan 24 (PRIME) -- Russian retailer X5 Retail Group has filed a bid to the Federal Antimonopoly Service to buy 100 stores of the Ufimsky Gastronom (Ufa Grocery Stores) chain in the republic of Bashkortostan, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
“All of the stores would be integrated into the Pyaterochka chain. X5 has submitted a request to the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation to provide its position on the potential transaction. The company's further actions will depend on the position of the service,” the company said.
Other details of the deal were not disclosed.
